H&A provided design services and construction administration for New Bedford Public Schools' Culinary and Nutrition Center, a new kitchen and service area serving the 25 of the district's schools. The project began with a detailed Existing Conditions Assessment and Programming phase, where H&A evaluated two potential site options. Our team conducted an in-depth site review and developed a tailored foodservice programming plan, including a precise floor area allocation and a complete list of required equipment to meet program needs.
Our holistic approach ensured that every phase, from initial assessment to final construction, aligned with the City’s vision for a modern, efficient
kitchen facility.
The Central Kitchen celebrated its grand opening in summer 2025, in time for the 2025-26 school year.
