H&A first conducted a Feasibility Study and Master Plan for Rising Tide Charter Public School (RTCPS). The study explored options that satisfied the educational programming and space needs for a new, combined middle school and high school. The challenge was to create a "school within a school" allowing each to have its own identity while sharing central core spaces. The resulting renovation incorporated flexible and collaborative spaces and created age-appropriate environments for both sets of students. The new school conveys a sense of community and supports RTCPS's caring, inclusive, participatory approach to teaching.
