We often hear from administrators that their schools are in great need of repair and renovations, but they just don’t have the resources to carry out these improvements and fulfill their vision. In fact, we’ve had so many of these disheartening conversations, and have watched so many facilities fail to advance, that it became clear we needed to help find a solution.

Where there’s a will there’s a way and we believe we have come up with an idea that will help. We’ve incorporated into the Campus Master Planning process a method for also determining how the master plan would be funded. After many discussions, we teamed with an expert financial firm who will prepare a detailed financial analysis for the school based on the developed master plan. The analysis determines the income level required for the school to fulfill the selected master plan, and then determines the most appropriate ‘mix’ of funding options required to achieve that income level. Should they take out a loan, raise tuition, sell an under utilized property, a combination of these, etc.?

Preparing the financial analysis and utilizing a mix of funding options allows the school to start work on their vision before all of the funds from the Capital Campaign are collected. They are years ahead of the game and not only beat inflation, but also have a positive impact on admissions and their alumni base now.
